CaSPA Film Fest is an innovative project where school communities actively engage in student-centred learning and collaboration through film. FilmFest, an annual competition, gives the opportunity to budding filmmakers to produce a short film on a topic decided by Sydney Catholic Schools. Entries may be school-based or by individual student submissions. The competition is open to students from Year 5 to Year 12 and we encourage students earning Media Arts, Photography, Visual Arts, Drama and Dance to apply.
In 2021, in celebration of 200 years of Catholic Education in Australia, the introduction of the Thrive Film Festival, with the theme Celebrate, calls participants to celebrate their Catholic Faith through film. The awards evening will be held on Friday 26 November through a live-streamed event.
